Bah, humbug - BenQ lands mobile deal with Google

Posted on Friday 10 March 2006

According to this article on the Australian Cnet BenQ has entered into an arrangement with Google to pre-install Google’s search application before delivering to consumers.

? This is a fantastic idea and I can really see the benefit when you are walking or driving around looking for the shop where you ordered a pizza from 35 minutes ago because you were too tight to pay the $3.50 delivery fee - you can simply look up the address using google local on your mobile and you will find be delivered with a satellite map or street directory.? How cool is that??

There is one problem of course - in Australia we dont have google local, and we dont have the google maps to any useful degree.? Will these phones even be sold in Australia?
