Content management can take many forms, but in many cases there is an Open Source solution.? ? I have reviewed one Open Source Content Management System myself, and I stand by my opinion that CMS Made Simple is the perfect solution for a simple website with novice users.? However, other Content Management problems need larger scale solutions.

Seth Gottlieb, a representative from Optaros has written an excellent article entitled Content Management Problems and Open Source Solutions which reviews a number of CMS’s in respect to how they can be used to meet different requirements.? It also includes a very useful section on ‘How to evaluate Open Source’.? There are quite different risks and benefits that need to be clearly identified when deciding to implement an Open Source solution and this article is well worth the read.
